For example, “6” is the same thing as “6/1”.

1. Change the whole number to a fraction.

2. Multiply the numerators and denominators straight across.

3. Simplify.

2. Multiply the numerators and denominators straight across.

• 4/5 x 6/1 = 24/5

3. Simplify.

• 24/5 =  4  4/5
